Race Day/FAQ

Parking

Parking is limited to 1500 cars so we strongly suggest you carpool. Plus it's a great way to only get 1 car muddy and hang out with your friends. Parking is managed by the venue. The cost is $10. No tail gating please. The real party is inside anyway.

Packet Pickup

Early packet pickup is usually held on the Saturday before race day. We strongly encourage you to take advantage of this so you can avoid a line. Otherwise, you will pick up your packet at the race site on Sunday morning.  Bring your ID for packet pickup. After you park go directly to packet pickup. (Follow the signs)   You receive a nifty Crusher Race bag filled with your Race Number,  T Shirt and some other swag.   Just pin, strap or otherwise lash the race number to your body and you are ready to go.

Bag Check

There will be a free bag check available.

We are not responsible for lost or stolen items. Try to use the bag check only once please.

Arrival / Timing

Gates open at 8:30am.  We recommend you show up 30-45 minutes before the start to get your packet, check your bag, stretch, warm up, stand around and look scared. Whatever you need to do. If you did early packet pickup 30 minutes will be more than enough. The event starts at 10:00am with waves of 10-15 people  launching every 2-3 minutes.  If you get to the start line and feel like it's a little too crowded then hang back and run at the next wave. We want everyone to have an enjoyable event.

The Fall Crusher Race is not chipped time. There will be clock timing so you can see how you Crushed It but you are racing against yourself. The competitive racing and chip timing will return for the Spring Events. So just go out there and have fun.

Dress / What To Bring

1) A great attitude

2) ID

3) Money

Dress any way you want but anything you wear will get dirty and sweaty. Shoes with a nice grip are strongly encouraged. No bare foot running though. You can also donate your shoes to a very worthy charity at the end of the race.  It's Missouri and we can not predict the weather. It's been between 45 and 80 on past race days sowatch the weather and plan accordingly.  We suggest layers just like your mom always told you.  If you want to come dressed as Santa, a fairy princess, zombie, Star Wars character or any thing else then by all means, knock yourself out! Whatever helps you CRUSH IT. (remember there are kids around so please be tasteful).

Spectators

Bring your friends to cheer you on. There is no fee for spectators and they may even be able to get in on the action.

Race Photos

Photographers will capture you in all your glory. You are encouraged to take your own photos and share them with your friends. Just remember that you have to follow all laws regarding copyright material and usage of images.

GoPro style cameras are allowed, but we highly encourage you not to take any other camera on the race course.  We are NOT responsible for your cameras getting wet  or dirty.

Food / Drink

No outside food or drinks

Everyone who completes the course gets a free beverage.

Vendors will be serving up awesome food and drinks which are available for purchase at the event.

Again - No outside food or drink.  Remember we are trying to raise money for charity and buying food and drink at the event helps make this happen.

Music

We will be pumping out the jams. We encourage dancing. There may even be some chances for you to do this on the race course.

Teams

Everything is better with friends.  Run the Crusher Race with friends.  Make your own T-shirts. Come in Costume. We don't care - just have fun.  No need to sign up as an official group.

Showers/Toilets

There will be plenty of toilets. We had some long lines at the spring event, but  we have corrected that issue for the fall.

There will be a wash down area to rinse off your muddy body. There are however no changing rooms planned at this time.  We advise bringing a blanket or big towels for the ride home.
